Mechanical Diaphragm Dosing Pump

The mechanical diaphragm metering pump series is driven by an electric motor through a worm-gear and turbine transmission system, making it suitable for low-pressure fluid dosing applications.
The diaphragm metering pump uses a flexible diaphragm to replace the piston, performing reciprocating motion under the drive mechanism to complete the suction and discharge process. Thanks to the diaphragm structure, the metered fluid is completely isolated from the drive and lubrication system, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
With excellent corrosion resistance provided by composite materials (pump head materials available in PVC, PTFE, 304, 316, and 316L stainless steel), the pump is capable of handling particle-free corrosive and non-corrosive liquids.
This product is widely used in industries such as petrochemical, chemical processing, power generation, metallurgy, mining, shipbuilding, light industry, and agriculture.

FAQ of Dosing Pump for Water Treatment

How do dosing pumps work?

Its working principle is to use a motor or other power source to drive a piston or diaphragm in a reciprocating motion, pushing the liquid from the suction side to the discharge side.

First, confirm the chemical type, concentration, and flow range, and check compatibility with the pump materials. Adjust flow mechanically (stroke length) or electronically (panel settings), set outlet pressure according to piping resistance, and use a pressure gauge and safety valve for monitoring. Finally, run a short test, check for leaks or noise, and calibrate the flow (within ±5% of the target).

In drinking water disinfection, dosing pumps can be used to add disinfectants such as chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, or chlorine dioxide to eliminate bacteria and pathogens.
For swimming pool water treatment, electromagnetic dosing pumps can add disinfectants (e.g., chlorides) to maintain proper disinfection levels.

Yes, we provide OEM service for both pneumatic metering pump and mechanically actuated diaphragm metering pump.

Four common high-frequency issues: abnormal flow, start-up failure, chemical leakage, and unusual noise or vibration.

Common dosing system pumps include peristaltic pumps, diaphragm pumps, and centrifugal pumps. The specific choice should be based on actual requirements and the application scenario.
